Here are some of the Club’s favourite spots for you to enjoy your February half-term with the whole family: Cornwall. There’s so much to see and do in the most southerly county on the English mainland, it is the perfect place to escape, learn and explore. If horticulture is your thing, there’s the Eden Project which is home to an array of weird and wonderful plants from all over the world. Often known as the eighth wonder of the world, it is the size of 30 football pitches and offers a fantastic learning experience where you can learn about where tea, rubber and sugar come from. Aside from this, there is of course miles and miles of stunning beach to enjoy. Carnon Downs Caravan Park is just three miles south of Cornwall’s only city, Truro. The site is a popular one for familes and offers bike hirre, a games room and a play area on site. Prices start from £35 per standard pitch per night, based on two adults and two children sharing. DurhamThe historic North East is home to a range of exciting and educational attractions for all ages to enjoy. Immerse yourself into the history of this region at the Beamish Living Museum of the North. Visit the Bamburgh Castle, with its 14 staterooms and once home to the King of Northumbria, it is known as the “King of Castles”. The Durham Grange Caravan and Motorhome Club Site is just a 12-minute drive outside beautiful Durham. There’s even a children’s playground on site which is sure to keep the little ones entertained for hours. For those with lots of energy, take a walk along the Royal Mile and visit the Camera Obscura & World of Illusions. The oldest visitor attraction in the city, it has been filled with puzzles, illusions and interactive experiences since 1835. It also boasts one of the best rooftop views of the city! You’ll find the Edinburgh Caravan & Motorhome Club site only a short drive from the city centre – perfect for those who want to combine the coastal scene with the city vibe. If you fancy an outdoor adventure, the site is surrounded by dog walks and cycle roots. Prices start from £22.80 per standard pitch per night, based on two adults and two children sharing.DerbyshireJust over an hour away from our Nottingham branch, you can explore one of England’s most iconic stately homes – Chatsworth House. When in Derbyshire you can’t not visit the Peak District. Take a hike through the majestic landscape, or discover an underground boat trip, there’s something for all ages and abilities to enjoy! The Chatsworth Park Caravan & Motorhome Club Site is hidden in an old walled garden on the picturesque Chatsworth Estate. Make sure you take the time to enjoy the Estate’s facilities, which include golf and tennis. There is also a playground to keep the little ones entertained.
