(1) The Ford Summit

Ford Summit: This Ford version of the Summit campervan (based on the award-winning Ford Tourneo Custom Titanium) makes for a superb practical day-to-day living vehicle as well as being a first-class four berth camper. You’ll be as impressed with its convenience for dropping the kids off at school as you will with its comfort when taking them on an adventure. At a mere 4.972 metres in length it is roughly the same size as most family cars and, when the mirrors are folded in, the width comes in at under 2 metres.

The interior is beautifully designed to maximise the space while still offering a cool and impressive aesthetic. The seat mechanism at the heart of the Summit layout is ingenious as it simply moves up and down the vehicle to suit your requirements. It easily converts into a decent sized double bed while the top roof bed is a huge double suitable for two adults. As a Ford campervan for the family, you can’t go wrong with this version of the Summit.

Summit Trail: This is the entry level plus VW campervan. It’s a brilliant four berth with a quartet of travel seats – the main one is an RIB seat bed, which is perfect for relaxing when combined with the integrated table. It also quickly and easily converts into a comfortable double bed. A second double bed is available (if the mattress is ordered).

The VW Summit Trail has an elevated roof and is a traditional side conversion featuring a driver’s side kitchen equipped with sink, two-ring hob low energy fridge and plenty of storage space – so you’ll be perfectly able to cater for your family. With a choice of four engines, manual or automatic gears, plus four-wheel drive and a range of external colours, the Summit Trail is a great campervan for getting used to the peaks of van life.

Summit Hi-Trail: Based on the popular VW transporter T6.1, the Summit Hi-Trail is a classic campervan, and Lowdhams’ best-selling model in this range. No wonder why, as amazing build quality meets industry leading components and innovations, all sure to leave you impressed. The rear RIB seat is incredibly comfortable – the best available, in fact, having been comfortably sculpted to ensure daytime relaxation and, in the evenings, conversion into a completely flat double bed. The Hi-Trail is, of course, a four berth.

The Hi-Trail also features plenty of headspace – an elevating roof as standard, or a fixed high-top as a cost option. With a choice of three engines available (110 PS, 150 PS or 199 PS) and a choice of manual, automatic or four-wheel drive, you will be seriously rigged for your getaways.

Summit Peak: This is the ultimate VW campervan conversion for those who want their vehicle to project a particular aesthetic. A distinctive two-tone exterior really shows off the campervan, but it’s not just about smart looks. It’s also packed with sensational features including the all-new class-leading SCA 290 sleeper-roof. The front of this can be fully opened so you’ll be able to bask in the glory of ‘widescreen’ panoramic views of whichever beauty spot you’ve parked up at.

Below, the RIB seat bed and front seats are covered in hand finished leather, continuing the cool aesthetic the van’s exterior describes. The VW Summit Peak also includes a whole host of great driving features, including front and rear parking sensors and adaptive cruise control. There’s also air conditioning, an alarm and immobiliser, a leather multi-function steering wheel and much more. Drive in comfort, relax in style!

Summit All-Trail: Perfect for the most rugged and adventurous, the All-Trail comes fitted with VW’s 4Motion, which is an all-wheel drive giving amazing road-grip whatever the conditions – rain, wind, or snow. The four wheel drive system constantly monitors driving conditions and reacts to even the slightest slip from the wheels, automatically sending the appropriate power into the wheels with the most grip. Drive with power – safely and in comfort.

The VW Summit All-Trail is also packed with features to make driving a pleasure – front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, air conditioning, alarm and immobiliser, a leather multi-function steering wheel and so much more.
