The Ford Summit Campervan: A Lowdhams Exclusive Model

The Summit is perfect for everyone who wants to have the best of both worlds. It’s not just a rugged road warrior for weekenders who like adventures out and about, in the countryside or down at the beach. It’s also great for use as an everyday vehicle. Loading it up with plenty of your essential equipment for a couple of days away is no problem and packing the kids in the back after you’ve collected them from school isn’t too difficult either! 1. Drivability

The Ford Tourneo Custom Titanium is 4.972 metres long, which is the same size as the majority of cars, and it has a width of under 2 metres with mirrors folded. Because of its car-like qualities it’s the perfect van for urban driving without encountering the usual difficulties of using a large camper or motorhome in that context. The Ford Summit comes as standard with 2 litre EcoBlue 130 PS engine though there is an optional upgrade to 170 PS available.

2. Interior

The tried and tested interior layout offers flexibility as, in car mode, you can travel with up to 5 people. The multi-position rear seating easily converts into a good-sized double bed, with the elevating roof system also housing a ‘drop down’ second bed, making the Ford Summit a versatile four berth. There is also a kitchen area and plenty of storage options, including wardrobe space with hanging rail and further space under the rear seats.
