Chausson Titanium Ultimate Range – New & Exclusive for 2023

It’s all set to be a brilliant 2023 for new motorhomes at Lowdhams, with a spectacular array of new vehicles and smart updates to old favourites heading our way, including Chausson motorhomes. High on the list is the Chausson Titanium range, which offers the expected luxury and practicality plus an array of improvements and enhancements.

Although Chausson may not be the most familiar name to you, the vehicles in this range are highly impressive and will seem like favourite old friends once you have taken a look. The brand is manufactured by Trigano VDL in the heart of the Rhône Valley in France, and some of the generous spirit of that region has filtered into the aesthetics of these high-spec vehicles. Chausson motorhomes have a reputation for innovation and there have been several clever features introduced down the years – including slide-out external gas stoves, whole side walls which pivot up and island kitchens. For their 2023 offer, Chaussonremains at the leading edge in motorhome design and manufacture.

1. Chausson Titanium Ultimate 640

On a Ford Transit base, the Chausson Titanium Ultimate 640 is a powerful and practical – but really stylish – way to get about. Though it’s under 7 metres in length, there is an intelligent use of the interior, offering an aesthetic area without compromising on practicality. Plenty of sleeping space and the maxi-lounge living space means a well set-up vehicle for family adventures, or for couples and friends looking for a really comfortable getaway.     The front lounge of the 640 is huge, featuring face-to-face sofas complemented by revolving travel seats in the cab, making for a great space in which to socialise. This smart lounge arrangement means the double facing sofa can quickly be turned into four belted travel seats when it’s time to hit the road.     The seating area also doubles as a bed which is 1950 mm x 1300 mm. An extra-large drop-down double bed has a premium quality mattress and measures 1900 mm x 1600 mm – so comfortable sleep is going to be easy to come by. The bed can be used in a raised position (like a bunk bed) or if there are no passengers sleeping below, can be lowered all the way down to sit just above the lounge cushions. For the maximum convenience, the bed disappears into the roof for when you want to get away to your new destination the next day.     Between the lounge and the back of the vehicle is a fully equipped galley kitchen area. A Triplex cooker with an electric hot plate and two gas burners, plus a Thetford grill and oven means cooking and preparing drinks is a pleasure. An extendable work surface makes for even more convenience, and the 167-litre tall fridge and separate freezer includes an Automatic Energy Selection feature.     A full width washroom and dressing area sits towards the rear of the Chausson Titanium Ultimate 640, with a walk-in full-width maxi washroom including a spacious shower cubicle with duckboard, WC washbasin and a large double door glass fronted wardrobe. A luxurious space in which to meet those washroom needs!     At the rear of the 640 is a large garage with enough space for storage of a bike, and which spans the width of the motorhome, with locker doors on both the near and off-sides plus access from the interior of the vehicle. Stowage hooks and electric sockets mean it’s the perfect place for storing all of the stuff you don’t want littering up the interior, or that’s too big to keep in there.

2. Chausson Titanium Ultimate 660

Like the 640, the Chausson Titanium Ultimate 660 is built on a Ford Transit base and is similarly powerful and practical and stylish. However, with two entrance doors – one into the main interior and one into the garage – the 660 offers an impressive and truly exciting alternative-style layout. The huge modular c-shaped lounge features flexible seating for up to 8 people, a fold-out table and panoramic TV viewing area with retractable stand. In a first for the modern era of motorhoming, a glass wall to separates the lounge and the kitchen area. This revolutionary new feature offers a sense of privacy without compromising on the great sense of social inclusivity the Chausson Titanium range offers.     An extra-large electric hideaway bed is concealed above the lounge, operating in the same fashion as the one described in the 640 paragraphs above. The washroom is, again, towards the rear of the vehicle and features a swing-wall shower. The rear garage with walk through feature is large enough for two cycles, and features all of the storage and stow options you’d expect.     Once again, the Chausson Titanium 660 is a classy vehicle with really cleverly thought-out and well-developed features designed to offer the maximum comfort and convenience when you’re out and about on the road!

The Small Print!

All Chausson Titanium models are NCC-approved, so their habitation areas meet UK standards. There is Grade III insulation, Styrofoam XPS, throughout the range – meaning they’re perfectly kitted to keep you protected from the elements – and there is also a seven-year water tightness warranty.
