Updated guidance on Caravan and Motorhome Workshops

We have been trying our best to keep our caravan and motorhome workshops open for customers to have their vehicles serviced and/or repaired while England’s second lockdown is in place. The National Caravan Council has been in contact with us and the Government guidance is quite clear in that non-essential travel is not permissible – people should only leave their homes for very specific reasons, for example for work where they cannot work from home, education, to attend a medical appointment or for food supplies. Anyone stopped without a reasonable excuse for their journey could face a financial penalty.Car repairs/MOTs are deemed “an essential business as we need cars to get around in – for work and food shopping for example”. This is not the case with a leisure vehicle such as a caravan or motorhome and, therefore, customers should not be tempted to tow their caravans or drive a motorhome to a workshop.   Our workshops that already have caravans and motorhomes in our service / repair areas when the lockdown in England began on 5 November will continue working on the vehicles, however, no access can be granted to the public.    Customers who have a service or repair appointment pre-booked during the lockdown period will be contacted to rearrange their appointment.
